• Open to a 6-month contract if desired!

No weekends or call
Primarily backfilling for open positions to cover routine embedding and microtomy of biopsies and large specimens.
Volume: average 1500 block/day
Work Setting Experience Preferred: Community Hospital
General Skills Experience Required: Tissue Processing
Histology Embedding/Microtomy Experience Required: Automated/Manual Microtome, Cuts Tissue Sections Using Microtome and Cryostat, Cutting Blocks, Embedding GI Specimens, Embedding Large Specimens, Embedding Molds, Embedding Smalls and Bigs, Embedding Skin Techniques, Histology Cassettes, Microtomy of Fatty tissue, Microtomy of Hard Tissue, Paraffin Wax Sections, Precision Microtomy
Histology - Staining Experience Required: Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) Stain, Prepares Slides for Staining
Epic experience preferred
Certifications Required: ASCP-HT
Specific Equipment Experience Preferred: Leica H&E Stainers
Minimum 2 years experience required
