Job description
The Homeschool PE Instructor is responsible for creating a positive environment that will provide youth with the opportunity to develop new friendships, improve self-esteem, and self-confidence, and develop strong social skills. This position will be required to instruct youth in a structured setting and engage them in indoor sports/ activities and swimming.
The starting schedule will be Tuesdays & Thursdays for about 2 hours each, beginning September.

- Flexible working hours (part-time - up to 30 hrs/week) based on your availability
Essential Functions:
- Must have the physical and mental ability to teach a variety of athletic and enrichment programs and move equipment as necessary (approximately 25 pounds).
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
- Ability to adequately observe and engage participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate management techniques.
Required Qualifications:
- Must pass YMCA background check
- Experience working with children and parents, preferably with a programming background
- Must have reliable transportation
