Requisition ID <p><strong>Program Details</strong></p> <p><strong>Program Summary</strong></p> <p>The Horizon MTX Development Program Program is geared towards individuals who want to gain the skills needed to receive their Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licenses. The program offers training, mentorship and a defined path to starting a career with Horizon Air/Alaska Airlines. If accepted into the program, the individual signs an agreement to work for Horizon Air for a minimum of 30 months after receiving their A&P licenses and starting at Horizon Air.</p> <p><strong>Key Duties</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain in good standing with approved A&P school</li> <li>Attend quarterly check-ins with assigned mentor/leader</li> <li>Maintain good communication with the company on curriculum progress</li> <li>Attend program specific meetings as scheduled</li> <li>Commit to work for Alaska Airlines for 2.5 years post program completion and sign an agreement confirming this requirement</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Program Specific Experience, Education and Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Technician Development Program application</li> <li>Ability to consistently lift 70 pounds and to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.</li> <li>Ability to work a variety of schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays.</li> <li>Ability to communicate in English, valid driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, minimum age of 18, authorization to work in the U.S., and ability to obtain airport security clearance</li> <li>Valid passport allowing unrestricted travel to and from the U.S. at time of application</li> </ul> <p><strong>Program Specific Leadership</strong></p> <p>Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable.</p> <p><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity</strong></p> <p>We are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AA) employer that is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
