Our company is hiring a Host/hostess who must welcome and seat customers, explain menus, suggest dishes, recommend wines and keep the restaurant clean. As a host/hostess, you must work from opening to closing by greeting guests upon entering and showing them to their seats. You will also be responsible for taking orders, bringing food and drinks to customers’ tables and suggesting any specials. Before the dinner rush, you must make the restaurant presentable by cleaning tables and putting away chairs. Our ideal candidate should have exceptional customer service skills. You must have experience in the restaurant business or in some capacity that made you familiar with serving food and drinks. Also, it's essential that you're friendly, as you will be interacting with customers throughout your workday. Ultimately, you should be an individual who has a passion for hospitality with a welcoming personality to help us provide our guests with the best possible dining experience

Responsibilities:

• Receive and welcome guests; provide information to customers; assure that all facilities are available to the guests in an efficient manner. Offer and explain the menu items to the guests; offer appropriate suggestions; prepare tables for service ; clear dirty dishes and glasses. Check orders with waiters to verify accuracy. Serve food items, beverages, coffee, tea, water etc.; present check at end of meal. Take guests' requests for information on restaurants, tours, special activities etc.; notify other staff members of requests; keep records of guests' preferences; assess specific needs of particular guests (e.g. their room number).
