M Health Fairview is looking for a Housekeeping Aide at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN! This is a part time opportunity with a guaranteed
64 hour per two week pay period on the
day shift. This position is benefit eligible!

Responsibilities/Job Description:
- Maintains knowledge of, and follows, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards
- Actively participates in building and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction and efficient outcomes
- Cleans all occupied rooms daily to build a clean, sanitary environment for patients
- Prepares discharge units and/or surgical procedure and completes end of day cleaning in surgical procedures rooms to provide a clean sanitary environment
- Maintains and clean and attractive areas including: maintaining of hard surface and carpeted flooring, cleans offices and public areas, collects and disposes of waste
- Cleans up after emergency spills and breakages to prevent exposure to substances that could be hazardous in a timely manner
- Maintains and performs special work assignments and reports to supervisor upon completion to follow quality and frequency standards in department policy and procedure manual
- Understands the security requirements of medications and IV solutions
- Restocks paper supplies upon daily cleaning of area to ensure they are adequately filled and maintains linen distribution system to provide user areas with adequate amounts of linen to give patient care
- Mixes, uses supplies and maintains equipment to aid in cost containment and safety
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Healthcare cleaning experience preferred
- Knowledge of and skills to use all housekeeping machinery
Desired Skills:
- Proven track record to read, write, and speak English and perform basic arithmetic that is vital for completion of job duties or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Attention to Detail: Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task
- Cleaning Basic Skills: Ability to operate cleaning equipment; familiar with cleaning products, chemicals, and safety procedures
- Computer Skills Basic: Ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (use a mouse, navigate in Windows, Outlook, etc)
- Interpersonal Communication: Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, co-workers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection.
