POSITION PURPOSE

This position reports to the Elk Grove Plant Manager and has primary accountability for the overall success, effectiveness, and efficiency of the SAP computer system for purchasing, processing of goods and services.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Duties include but are not limited to front desk reception, fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, coordinating site visits, maintaining the general appearance and functioning of common areas, including break room , supply area, and conference rooms.
The incumbent is also responsible for ordering office supplies, processing accounts payables, and the sorting and handling of incoming and outgoing mail, Fed Ex, and other packages and deliveries. In addition to excellent customer service skills, the incumbent must possess problem solving and organizational skills. Be proficient in Microsoft Office, be detail focused and be able to converse and present themselves professionally.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Supports general business operations through the completion of administrative tasks.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Performs periodic audits.
  • May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
  • Requisitioner in SAP for PO’s, and process check requests in Readsoft, CLM (Process Vendor contracts)
  • Supports SQF Certification and HSE Visitor Safety Practice compliance.
  • Updates front Lobby Monitor, Welcome and other current company information (Power Point)
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Welcome/Assist new employees- nameplates, mail slots, phone list, and other general information and office support needs.
  • Meets and greets visitors and contractors
  • P-Card Purchaser and process credit card reconciliation,
  • Administrator for Staples and FedEx and other vendors such as for printers/copiers, carpet cleaning, etc.
  • Notary Public, handling of service of process procedures, handling of checks, customer and miscellaneous- forms to accounts receivable- mail to lockbox.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field preferred;
  • or Associate’s degree in HR or related field required.

Experience:

  • Administrative experience: 2 years (Required)
  • Payroll: 1 year (Required)
