Job Summary
This position is located in Blum, TX, which 55 miles south of Fort Worth, TX
The Human Resource Assistant provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including training, onboarding/offboarding, recruiting, file maintenance and HRIS entry. The Human Resource Assistant will be a have excellent administrative skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Reports To: Director, Human Resources
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interact appropriately with visitors and customer representatives, and DMC office and shop personnel
- Assists with the coordination, planning, and organizing of activities and special events
- Gathers information from internal and external sources. May conduct research on the Internet
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Develop and execute progressive and effective recruiting initiatives.
- Build a network through industry contacts, advertising, and current employees to develop and maintain a qualified pool of potential candidates in advance of need. Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.
- Communicate with hiring managers about their hiring needs and work with them throughout the recruiting and hiring process to ensure those needs are being met.
- Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
- Assist in the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
- Efficiently and effectively fill all open positions.
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
- Communicate with temp agencies on our recruiting needs, etc. to assist with recruiting efforts when necessary
- Become the expert of Indeed and other platforms to effectively utilize.
- Post openings in online venues, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues.

- Responsible for onboarding/new hire paperwork for new employees to include completion of the I-9 and E-Verify, compliance required documents, and disclosure agreements.
- Contacting new hires prior to their hire date or training date to ensure onboarding tasks are completed prior to their start date.
- Following up with new hires who have not completed onboarding tasks and reporting to corporate HR office.
- Distributing onboarding material, such as communications, and newsletters to new hires.
- The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- High School degree. 1-2 years’ college level courses preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in an office environment.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers in written and verbal form.
- Knowledge of general computer programs including Microsoft Office products, email and the Internet.
- Ability to understand and abide by safety guidelines as required.
- Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, vendors, and employees.
- High proficiency with MS Office Suite
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee nay occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
