POSITION SUMMARY:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center as a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP).
The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and leadership in designated business units. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service that reflects the business objectives of Pascack Valley Medical Center.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership in designated business units (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions)
- Manage and resolve complex employee/labor relations issues and conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Provide HR policy and CBA guidance and interpretation
- Work closely with management and employees to improve relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Manage the New Hire Orientation experience and 90 day check-ins
- Conduct exit interviews with departing team members
- Assist the HR department with the implementation of strategic Human Resources programs such employee recognition efforts, wellness initiatives, and safety & employee-related committees
- Act as a company culture and employee experience champion
- Oversee records management by creating, maintaining and auditing employee personnel files/records in HRIS system, and in electronic file system
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations as they pertain to employment
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field and/or equivalent job experience required- 5-7+ years of relevant Human Resources experience in a fast-paced, and high volume Human Resources Department
- Union experience a plus
- PHR or SHRM-CP certified preferred

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Computer skills: Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Intermediate level HRIS and Applicant Tracking System experience
