Through continued assessment, education, and intervention, ABHS staff will diligently address the needs of all clients admitted into our programs.
American Behavioral Health Systems is one of only a few programs in Washington State that offers 3-tiers of treatment: detoxification services for substance use disorders; residential treatment programs for substance dependence and co-occurring disorders; and intensive outpatient/outpatient services for mental health problems, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders.

About the role:
Reporting to the Human Resource Director, the HR Generalist performs a variety of work of moderate difficulty in the Human Resources department.
What you will be doing:
Hiring
Process
- Serves as the primary resource for recruiting and initiating the ABHS hiring process.
- Posts ads internally and externally utilizing social media platforms (indeed.com, LinkedIn, Handshake, Google, Twitter, etc.), monitors comments, and takes appropriate actions
- Assists with full-cycle recruiting and onboarding of new hires
- Enters information into multiple online systems as needed to process required background checks
- Serves as liaison in coordinating new hire process with HR Trainer, Supervisor/manager to ensure timely and seamless onboarding
- Participates in hiring events in person, and virtually and forms relationships with external contacts such as colleges, job banks, and community-sponsored events in order to develop new and strengthen existing talent pipelines
- Follow up with hiring managers and candidates to ensure timely and positive pre-hire and new-hire experience
- Identifies and recommends process changes to HR Administrative staff
HR Processing/Data Tracking
- Enters new hire information into the current payroll system (ADP)
- Provides applicant tracking reports
- Utilizes HR systems as needed to complete assignments.
- Runs standard and ad hoc reports for general HR or specific needs (such as turnover statistics)
- Analyzes data and recommends possible actions to improve existing processes and reduce redundancies
HR Administrative Support
- Assists with HR general office duties such as filing and document tracking
- Assists with HR compliance such as audits, mandatory training completion, and follow-up with managers
- Serves as the primary resource for general HR inquiries
- Coordinates HR department operation needs including purchasing supplies, making travel arrangements, meeting planning, and ad hoc research requests
- Researches and updates job descriptions
- Assists with social media general content, updates, and review responses
- Provides administrative support as needed across all HR functional areas
- Assists in organizational training and development efforts
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or 2 years of experience in the HR field, or a similar combination of education and experience.
- Must be willing to travel 25% of the time to local worksites/communities as needed.

What’s in it for you:
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000.
