Job Description


This role provides strong project management to various HR initiatives & company-wide HR projects including automation projects, management training, development, and succession planning. The company. is seeking a Human Generalist with a minimum of 3 years of experience to be based in our Santa Fe Springs, CA office. The HR Generalist will provide comprehensive human resource services and assist the Assistant HR Manager with staffing, performance management, employee relations, training and development opportunities, and policy and procedure administration, onboarding and offboarding. The HR Generalist will also assist the Assistant HR Manager with managing all human resource projects and initiatives on an on-going basis.

  • Support and assist in the Human Resources Department
  • Coach, mentor, and influence technical leadership, as well as, foster teamwork within the HR Department to coach and counsel employees
  • Provide management coaching to build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issues
  • Assist in implementation/administering/interpreting corporate policies/programs/procedures
  • Helps maintain human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
  • Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and productive relationship with department leaders to establish HR strategic direction and drive business effectiveness
  • Support onboarding and offboarding for in state and remote employees as well as oversee dayto-day HR management
  • Conduct investigations and recommend and/or develop resolutions to employee complaints or claims of unfair treatment, harassment and/or discrimination based on sex, age, race or disability.
  • Review and analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience
  • Stay up to date for employment law, and labor relations law

Salary: $60,000/yr to $65,000/ yr


Qualifications
  • Able to multi-task and work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to manage time effectively
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Experience in the development and administration of HR plans
  • Experience with assessing employees
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws
  • Portrays great leadership and assertive skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an HR Coordinator or HR Generalist
  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or related field (Masters in Human Resourcces Management or PHR preferred)
