The Salvation Army Orange County’s Anti-Trafficking Services program provides human trafficking survivors in Orange County holistic care through trauma-informed, culturally-and linguistically-sensitive, strengths-based, and survivor-centered case management and advocacy.
The Anti-Trafficking Residential Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the physical housing facilities of the ATS program. This position will oversee and maintain all aspects of household operations at our Safe Home (Sex Trafficking program participants) and Guest Homes (Foreign National Labor Trafficking program participants) and other sites. The ATS Residential Supervisor will operate within program budget and funds; serve as a liaison for the program; participates in public awareness and outreach. Note: This is not a live-in, work out position.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize the maintenance, replacement or renovation of equipment, furnishings and/or fixtures; partner with OC Coordination Facilities/Maintenance team to communicate/resolve initial issues
- Manage and coordinate the work of vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure housing projects are completed as scheduled and budgeted
- Requisition and purchase material goods, supplies, and services to support building(s) maintenance
- Ensure facility upkeep to meet program and licensing standards. Report any unmet conditions to the Program Manager immediately
- Conduct unannounced quarterly fire drills at each facility. Review results and provide resident trainings as needed
- Assist in planning and implementing group recreational activities and outings.
- Supervise residents/program participants during routine activities such as: support groups, recreational activities at the facility or on a group outing.
- Coordinate with volunteers to provide support opportunities for residents
- Facilitate scheduled house/group meetings and document areas discussed/expectations
- Implement resident chore system and work with Residential Support Advocates to monitor for completion
- Menu planning for the shelter. Supervise residents in meal preparation when onsite
- Assist Program Manager with safe home employee scheduling and act as on-call support staff as needed
- Maintain an environment that enhances a positive self-image and preserves human dignity in all locations
- Serve as a crisis counselor while on duty; provide back up support during emergencies at all sites
- Coordinate with Residential Support Advocate and Case Manager to ensure support and safety of all sites.
- Provide safe home support to staff regarding client cases providing direction during scheduled on-call hours.
- Maintain all required resident/client documentation and provide monthly summary and statistical data to Program Manager and/or Case Manager in a timely manner
- Conduct intakes to determine continuance of program enrollment based on established guidelines and requirements
- Aid in orientation of new residents at the shelter
- Maintain necessary record keeping as assigned
- Complete discharge plans of clients exiting the program; transfer file contents to non-active file; prepare card for follow-up mailing
- Assist with grant reporting duties to funders of the Survivors of Human Trafficking Program
· Serve as a member of 24-hour Crisis Response Team to include: assisting first responders with initial intake, placement, and assessment of potential HT victims identified by law enforcement or other first responding entities.
- Participate/assist in public awareness/outreach plans.
- Perform administrative support services
- Maintain confidentiality of all records, reports, and other materials related to trafficking survivors
All other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICIATIONS:
· BSW or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years of experience - providing case management to trafficking survivors, victims of crime, domestic violence, immigrant communities or similar population.
· Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
· Prior experience working in a residential care facility or group home preferred
· Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred
· Requires a valid driver license
· Deep commitment to the healing and well-being of human trafficking survivors.
