Overview:
This is an ideal role for an Advanced Practice Provider who wants to work closely with a team of Physicians to manage critically ill patients in the Hospital. Care coordination will involve our current team of four Critical Care specialist Physicians and one Nurse Practitioner. Our team of Advanced Practice Providers works a flexible and varied schedule of 8, 12, or 24 hour shifts covering days, nights, and weekends to ensure patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Managing Critical Care patients in the ICU along with Pulmonology/Critical Care Physicians and Providers
- Procedures will be performed; full training completed over several months of orientation
- Working in our 12-bed CVICU and 12-bed Medical/Surgical ICU; typical patient census for our Advance Practice Providers is 5 patients per shift
- Acute Care/Intensive Care experience is a must; 1-3 years either as a Provider or as an RN
- Board Certified/Eligible:
- Physician Assistant, or
- Acute Care Advance Practice Nurse license -ACNP is required for hospital privileges
- Eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
- Willingness to work days and nights during the week and covering weekends; full time 40 hours per week
