Job description
This position is located at the Wyndham Garden Hotel on Okaloosa Island. Cooks will be expected to work in the Restaurant, During Banquets, as well as the Pool Side Grill.
Open Shifts are 6AM-2PM, 10AM-5PM, 3PM-10PM
Cook Responsibilities:
- Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items.
- Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes.
- Storing excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage.
- Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.
- Monitoring supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.
- Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
- Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.
- Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Efficiently resolving problems with customers’ orders.
- Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed.
All Cooks will report directly to the Kitchen Manager. Other than the Kitchen Manager, all Back of House Employees are viewed as equals, with no higher or lesser position, regardless of time employed. All Back of House Staff are to work together, and expected to communicate and hold each other responsible for any lack of duties.
