Are you an industrial engineer looking for something new and exciting? Zoetis Reference Labs is looking for a mid-level experienced engineer to "lean" and develop best practices for our veterinary laboratory locations throughout the United States! You will be part of an exciting accelerated growth business in the Zoetis family.
We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to support our laboratories from our Tampa, FL office. This position will support the Head of US Operations in creating and maintaining efficient operations to the delight of our customers.
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
- Building models and simulations that analyze our lab operations and identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Conduct measurement, cost reduction, process/product flow analysis, and capacity utilization studies.
- Develop data visualizations and dashboards highlighting improvements
- Apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase efficiency
- May be required to develop cost estimates in support of proposals
- Works with a team of Clinical, Operational and Information Technology professionals
Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering, mathematics, or computer science
- Proficient in Lean Principles, Workflow analysis and Labor estimation techniques
- Experience with capacity planning and system modeling.
- Process improvement, data visualization!
- Experience using Tableau, AWS, Python, or other analytics toolsets
- Experience developing and implementing statistical and heuristic techniques to create descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
- Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
