Industrial Maintenance Mechanic - Swing Shift
Job description
We are looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our swing shift to provide their expertise in preventative maintenance on production equipment, repair of production machinery, and vehicles. This includes our facilitys mechanical and electrical systems as well. This role performs a variety of duties requiring knowledge of various trade skills such as plumbing, welding, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, energy management control systems, and heating and cooling systems.
This role works with our Swing Shift team Sunday-Thursday from 3:00pm-11:30pm.
What you'll do
- Maintain equipment in accordance with set schedules and procedures
- Install new equipment
- Adjust devices and control instruments using hand and power tools
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly
- Determine parts needed and analyze costs of repairs
- Assist in supervising the work of external contractors for specified projects
- Review and complete work orders
- Work with production to ensure operators are trained to use best practices
- Maintain and verify equipment logs and work orders
What you'll need to know
- How to use diagrams, drawings, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams
- How to drive box trucks, forklifts, manlifts, etc.
- How to use hand and power tools, pallet jacks, and other shop equipment
- How to comply with safety policies and procedures
- How to prioritize and self-manage workload
- How to work with integrity and accountability on a team and take responsibility for assigned projects
Who you are
- Someone with high school diploma or GED equivalent and 3+ years of work experience in a maintenance role
- Someone with knowledge of CNC machine operations, repair, and maintenance
- Someone with the ability to work on their feet for 8-10 hours daily and be able to bend, reach, twist, push, pull, lean, stoop, and independently lift 50 lbs.
- Someone with knowledge in plumbing, carpentry, welding, metal fabrication, electrical, HVAC, and locksmithing
- Someone with knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) for machines
- Someone who can wire 110, 220, and 440 voltage
Wage and Compensation
- This role can expect to earn $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
- This role is also eligible for $1.00 swing shift differential
- Total Hourly compensation range: $24.00 - $31.00

- INSURANCE | All employees and their dependents will have the ability to enroll in medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. If enrolled, benefits begin on the first day of the month following the 60th day of employment at Watson.
