Inforce Operations is responsible for processing customer requests on policies or contracts. Inforce Operations is looking for a leader for the non-financial area which would have teams that support Protection Solutions, Individual Retirement and Group Retirement.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain an engaged and fulfilled workforce
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports and extended team
  • Ensure compliance with company standards
  • Works effectively in a highly collaborative environment working closely with business partners in multiple areas such as Product Management, Legal, HR, Procurement, Technology providing thought leadership and an Operations view on enterprise initiatives
  • Oversee the management team responsible for the day-to-day operations across multiple teams within Equitable Operations Sub Area
  • Work with direct reports to ensure that processes and procedures are relevant and up to date with an emphasis on efficiency and adding value
  • Partner with Sub Area Lead to maintain, improve, and enhance the customer experience
  • Responsible for oversight and ensures compliance to multiple SOX, OSJ and SEC processes
  • Ensures adherence to budget targets


The base salary range for this position is $106,000-$154,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 7+ years Operations Management experience required
  • FINRA 6 and 26 or ability to obtain within 6 months required
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels and cultivate working relationships within the organization

Skills:

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Customer Support Function: Knowledge of the major responsibilities, accountabilities, and overall organization of the customer support function or department; ability to properly support customer inquiries and bring problems to a timely resolution.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.

Regulatory Environment - Financial Services: Knowledge of regulatory environment; ability to help an organization comply with regulations at the federal, state and local level and follow the organization-specific policies and guidelines, affecting business practices.


Results Orientation: Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.

Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
