Job Profile: Assist International Freight Car Products Key Account Executive and International Contract Administrator.
Role Summary/Purpose
The International Freight Car Products Project Specialist will support all aspects and stages of international freight car projects from cost and lead time analysis, assist with preparation of Aftermarket and OEM quotations, as well order entry, processing and expediting, coordinate ocean and air freight shipments with designated freight forwarders, shipment tracking and spreadsheet maintenance, while ensuring process compliance.
Essential Responsibilities
- Report to Account Executive, Freight Car Group Sales International and International Contract Administrator to support marketing and sales, sourcing, quotation freight quotes, order processing, shipment tracking and general administrative tasks.
- Assist to ensure orders are entered accurately and according to quoted delivery lead times.
- Expedite and track shipments to support on time delivery and synchronized delivery from multiple Business Units and ensure customer has all required documentation for import clearance, etc.
- Arrange and handle Wabtec Freight Car Component ‘foreign to foreign’ drop shipment logistics from overseas suppliers to minimize US import tariffs and reduce lead times.
- Create and maintain compliant ‘foreign to foreign’ drop shipment export documentation for all contracts and PO’s.
- Report and attend meetings weekly on international logistics and late ships and weekly International Teams Call.
- Interface directly with customers and/or Wabtec agents or distributors for reporting and resolving logistics and quality issues.
- Coordinate and liaise with Wabtec Export Service Group to process Bank Letters of Credit as well as collections upon delivery.
- Prepare internal shipping labels by parcel carrier including Federal Express, UPS and DHL.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Highschool Diploma or GED Required.
- College degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years in International Sourcing, Purchasing, Quotation, Expediting, or related field.
- Foreign language capability an asset
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral communication and written documentation skills, willingness, and ability to verbally communicate directly with customers and suppliers on resolution of issues.
- Basic math proficiency, able to calculate Gross Profit Margins and Cost Analysis for example.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and execution and multi-tasking skills under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Points specifically excel
- Responsible individual, able to work independently and as team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with MRP and Oracle and asset.
