Interstate Analyst
Job description
The Interstate Analyst is located in the Central Registry/State Parent Locate Unit of the Child Support Program Central Office in Raleigh.
Responsibilities are as follows:
- Requests for services are received by paper and electronically via the Child Support Enforcement Network (CSENet) and through the Electronic Document Exchange (EDE) via the State Services Portal (SSP).
- Cases are built in the Child Support Automated Collections and Tracking System (ACTS) which requires accuracy of data entry for this high-volume caseload.
- The type of service requested, documents, and jurisdictional requirements are analyzed to determine how to proceed with cases.
- Workers must analyze legal documents to determine how to enter information into our automated system.
- Accesses many different areas of complex computer systems and other databases to obtain information required for other local, out-of-state, regional, and federal agencies.
- Provides customer service to local and other state staff regarding case status.
Salary Grade: NC08 Recruitment Range: $35,788 - $42,498

About the Division of Social Services (DSS):
The Division of Social Services provides training, technical assistance, consultation, and program compliance monitoring to staff of local county departments of social services (100 counties) which provides an array of programs and services in for families and children. These include Child Welfare Services (Child Protection, Adoption and Foster care); Economic & Family Support Services (Work First, Food and Nutrition Services (FNS), Refugee Assistance, Energy & Emergency Assistance Programs) and Child Support Services. In addition, the Office of Economic Opportunity provides training, technical support and monitoring services to a network of community action and limited purpose agencies (47 statewide) who work with families of low income. The DSS Budget Office is responsible for administering a $1.9 Billion budget for Public Assistance and Social Service Programs throughout the State of North Carolina.

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience;
