Position: Invoicing Clerk
Status: Fulltime
Schedule: M-F, 9:00am-5:30pm

Location: 30500 SE 79 th Street, Preston, WA
Compensation: $16.25

POSITION SUMMARY: An Invoicing Clerk must be able to invoice, tag, and load customer orders at a fast, accurate pace. Employees are required to safely and efficiently load trailers and other vehicles, depending on Ship Via, by manually lifting and stacking cases of product. Employee must be able to read, write and verbally communicate with customers at Will Call.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Invoicing, tagging and loading of LTL (less than a truck load) shipments.
• Ability to operate internal systems that store customer information, such as HAL and Fed Ex Express.
• Ability to operate powered lift equipment as required.
• Will invoice parcel orders.
• May receive LTL shipments.
• Key shipping details for each order into HAL.
• Ability to answer customer inquires at the will call window.
• Ability to process and ship UPS international orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned when requested.

REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

• Lift operators are required to be certified and authorized by a SanMar lift trainer and will be required to maintain current certifications.
• Demonstrates the ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require; support or rotate to other production functions as needed.
• Maintain a safe, neat and clean work area by adhering to SanMar’s safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently, with minimal supervision.
• Welcome and help new employees in a positive manner, as required.
• Assist in building a positive and productive work environment.
• Able to lift up to 60lbs on a continuous basis.
• Mandatory overtime may be required which could include weekend work.
• Familiarity with HAL is necessary to perform the job.
• Strong attention to detail.
• You must understand, and abide by the rules of the Customs Trade Partnership against Terrorism (C-TPAT).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Education preferred but not required.
• Comprehend oral and written instructions.
• Should be able to read, write, and have sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information and verbally communicate with customers.
• Must have basic math skills in counting and quantity.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to walk and stand. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 60 pounds. The employee operates powered equipment requiring use of both hands to drive vehicles as well as full range of motion of the neck, head and back. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, grasp and perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motions. The employee is frequently required to climb, kneel/squat, bend and carry. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Basic literacy is required for lift certification and necessary daily paperwork. The employee must be comfortable working at heights in excess of twenty feet off the ground.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment is moderately noisy. The employee is required to work near conveyor systems and around powered lift equipment. There is exposure to dust and extreme changes in temperature throughout the year. Employee must be able to handle stress that is involved in meeting strenuous customer deadlines, working in high volume areas. Be flexible and able to interact with employees at all levels and be able to operate powered equipment safely in a high-traffic environment.
