Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is looking for an experienced attorney to join our highly talented US IP Litigation team in the role of IP Litigation Manager. The position will report directly to the Director responsible for managing IP litigation at HPE. The US IP Litigation team is part of the worldwide Litigation team and directly handles, strategically manages, and reports on the company's litigation and certain legal-related investigations across the US. Our mission is to provide the best legal advice and support on litigation matters.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Manage and drive IP litigation cases from complaint to conclusion, collaborating with internal and outside counsel, technology experts, business analysts, and business clients.
  • Demonstrate an ability to thrive in a large, global environment while coordinating the efforts of internal paralegals and outside counsel.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills will be necessary to explain complex legal matters to business leaders in a manner that is readily understandable in order to ensure well-informed business decisions.

Education and Experience Required

  • J.D. Degree required, undergraduate degree in a STEM focus preferred, but not required.
  • Current bar membership in the US is required,
  • Admission to Patent Bar is a plus.
  • 3+ years of highly successful litigation experience.
  • Previous experience working within the tech industry preferred.
  • IP litigation experience (District Court, ITC and/or PTAB) required, previous experience working with on high tech products preferred.
  • Understanding of or experience with international IP litigation is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, strong analytical skills, and the ability to grasp important business risks and legal issues facing the company.

Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $122,700.00 - $282,500.00
