IT Internal Auditor, Group Audit
Job description
Zurich North America is seeking an IT Internal Auditor for Group Audit to join our team located in Schaumburg, our North American headquarters in the suburbs of Chicago in hybrid environment.
We are a fun, exciting, fast-paced, and high-performing global team of audit professionals with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds and experiences. We are seeking an Internal Auditor with 2-3 years of professional experience gained preferably in internal audit or IT department, ideally from an insurance or financial services organization.
Group Audit North America is part of the globally, fully vertically integrated Group Audit function, which reports into the Group Audit Committee. Through variety of businesses and functions that make up Zurich North America, you will be given diverse audit engagement opportunities in the world of insurance and give you exposure across the organization.
Our audit plan is dynamic and entirely risk based. Our team is not required to perform annual SOX/ICFR testing. You will also have the opportunity to participate in global audits and Group Audit wide initiatives and interact with leaders and team members from other countries.
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Audit or Finance area OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Audit or Finance area OR
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Audit or Finance area
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Operations or Information Systems- CISA, CISPP, CISM, CDMP
- Experience from a Fortune 500 Company, ideally in a financial services organization, or boutique IT firm
- Auditing or work experience in one or more of the following areas: cloud security and privacy; IT platforms; data management; cybersecurity; network security
- Demonstration of continuous learning on and off the job
- Ability to work effectively in hybrid environment
- Experience in working with a global team
- Strong written and verbal communications, including negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, establish and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Exposure to data analytics, including programming language such as R and Python
