Job description
Under the direction of the Facilities Coordinator performs routine, manual work cleaning maintaining buildings and grounds. The employee performs recurring tasks in accordance with established practices and standards of cleanliness as scheduled. NIGHT SHIFT FROM 4: 00 P.M TO 12:30 A.M
- NIGHT SHIFT FROM 4: 00 P.M TO 12:30 A.M.
- Responsible for maintaining buildings clean as per established cleaning and disinfecting procedures and as instructed.
- Responsible for performing minor semi-skilled interior building maintenance, repairs and installations and prepare buildings for public access.
- Responsible for assisting in maintaining a secure and safe environment for staff, patients, visitors and volunteers.
- Assists with departmental support functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of floor stripping and scrubbing machines.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
- Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment.
- Ability to perform manual tasks requiring physical strength.
- Ability to lift up to seventy five (75) pounds.
- Ability to operate and fix mechanical cleaning equipment.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum four (4) years work experience in building custodial duties
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
