The Company:

Established in 1918, Guardian Service Industries is a family-owned Janitorial, Security and Engineering & Operations staffing corporation. We have over 1,000 clients and maintain over 110 million square feet throughout the Northeast, which include commercial buildings, government buildings, residential communities, schools, transportation hubs, retail outlets, and much more.

We specialize in providing subject matter expertise, management and staffing in all areas of facility maintenance, specifically Janitorial Services, Security Services, Engineering & Operations, Lighting and Electric, Window Cleaning, Concierge/Front Desk Ambassador, and Marble, Metal and Wood Restoration.

The Role:

Guardian Security Services is seeking experienced and qualified Janitorial Supervisor.

Pay rate: $22.00 - $24.00 /Hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday – Tuesday , Thursday - Saturday

Qualifications

• All qualified applicants should have at least 2 years in a service organization
• Must possess experience in cleaning/janitorial background
• Also, be able to communicate with site Property Manager, Operations Managers
• Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities and Skills:

• Oversee and direct a workforce of the Room Attendants;
• Perform payroll duties;
• Handle disciplinary process for employees;
• Hire and terminate employees;
• Work closely with regional director of operation;
• Must know all aspects of cleaning (s/w, window cleaning, rug, shampooing);
• Must be able to trouble shoot maintenance equipment;
• Required to maintain schedules, shift hours and motivate staffing to perform their daily task;
• Create and maintain employee schedules including replacement of personnel for sick a vacation period;
• Bilingual (English & Spanish);
• Proficient in Microsoft Office;
