- Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices associated with electrical equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts, and building plans
- Installing and mounting electronic controls, device, panels, sensors, and components
Performing interlock wiring as required - Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices
- Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installation procedures
- Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
- Reading contract drawings
- Trouble shooting EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays
- Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
- Works from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
- Working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
- Must be on-site at all times during the performance of work on any of the systems, equipment and components.
- Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand-tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment
- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
- Will perform all terminations of fiber and wiring to controls
- Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment
- Replaces faulty electrical components, such as relays, switches, breakers, and motor starters
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all background, security, and clearances required to perform the duties of this position
- Will have an apprentice electrician working with you all day
- Professional on-site office and maintenance environment.
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for eight hour periods of time
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position. This includes completing timesheets and daily work reports
- Physically able to move about in a maintenance environment to include walking, stooping, bending, stretching, and climbing ladders and stairs
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Must maintain a safe, productive, and professional work environment.
- Experience as a Electrical Team lead on electrical project over 500K sq ft.
