Job Title: Junior Accountant/Logistics Analyst

Location: Sacramento, CA

Terms: 2 year contract, part time, 20-30 hours/week

Rate: $16.00/hr

About the Role:

This is a unique dual-role opportunity as you will fill two needs. We are looking for a junior-level Accounting and Logistics Analyst that has the drive to quickly learn our customer’s supply chain processes and structure that encompasses US and Mexico 3rd party providers. You will be responsible for accurate MAS IT Corp accounting, as well as billing customers for services rendered and analyzing and data entry of customer’s accounting and billing records pertaining to shipments.

You will also interface on our customer’s behalf with 3rd party logistics providers to track critical shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery as well as process any claims as a result of any supply chain issues. The position requires experience validating and processing data and entering data into customer’s tracking systems, interfacing with customer stakeholders in both US and Mexico.

Requirements:

• Hybrid role based in the Sacramento region requires reliable transportation and home internet
• English/Spanish language fluency
• Bachelor’s level degree from a US or Mexico accredited institution in International Business
• Experience in Accounting, Billing, Logistics, and Customer service
• Math and numeracy skills
• Knowledge of financial accounting
• Computer literacy and working knowledge of relevant accounting software packages
• In-depth understanding of financial reporting principles
• Excellent organizational skills
• Great attention to detail
• Analytical skills
• Ability to work well in a team

Preferred:

• Candidates that are passionate and dedicated
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Experience with CONTPAQ Management system

Duties:

• Recording all financial transactions daily
• Issuing payment invoices and receipts to clients
• Preparing and submitting periodic financial reports to management
• Performing account reconciliations
• Processing income statements, balance sheets and other management account reports, under the supervision of the Senior Accountant
• Reviewing expenditures of the company such as payroll and petty cash expenses
• Assisting with asset audits, as necessary
• Assisting with other accounting tasks, as assigned by a supervisor
• Analyze supply chain processes and recommend any applicable adjustments for efficiency
• Handle invoicing, electronic bills, and shipment tracking
• Maintain the information in logistic databases
• Track product flow from origin to outgoing shipments and delivery
• Process customer complaints
