As an In-House Project Controls Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Providing project controls leadership to the program management team
  • Assuring that all project controls documents and reports are checked and approved before issued
  • Providing input to all areas of project controls, including: schedule, cost, risk and change
  • Preparing financial data and assure the cost module is kept up to date
  • Producing and maintaining contract and staff budgets and forecasts
  • Assist in preparation of Agency’s delivery plans
  • Providing internal and external progress reports
  • Prepare grant reports on a quarterly or semi-yearly basis
  • Develop/update program procedures and processes with regards to budget preparation, grants reporting, and other relative functions
  • Develop and implement project specific Key Performance Indicators and metrics.
  • Please note that this is not a full time position. 20 hours a week will be the maximum allotted hours.

Candidate Specification

We invite applications from candidates with:
  • 2+ years' experience in a project controls position required
  • Understanding of program/project budgets and associated funding sources
  • Change Management experience in all aspects of the project
  • A degree or equivalent in a relatable major
  • Experience building relationships and ensuring effective communication with project team and vendors
  • Pro-active problem-solving mentality with proven experience in stakeholder management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi- disciplined team
  • The ability to interface with industry specialists, in a competent professional manner
  • Broad experience of the application of project controls in major transit/infrastructure projects
  • Schedule software experience
  • Candidates are able to work remotely but must have the ability to attend client and office meetings based in Orange, CA
Salary Range: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
