Job description
As an In-House Project Controls Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing project controls leadership to the program management team
- Assuring that all project controls documents and reports are checked and approved before issued
- Providing input to all areas of project controls, including: schedule, cost, risk and change
- Preparing financial data and assure the cost module is kept up to date
- Producing and maintaining contract and staff budgets and forecasts
- Assist in preparation of Agency’s delivery plans
- Providing internal and external progress reports
- Prepare grant reports on a quarterly or semi-yearly basis
- Develop/update program procedures and processes with regards to budget preparation, grants reporting, and other relative functions
- Develop and implement project specific Key Performance Indicators and metrics.
- Please note that this is not a full time position. 20 hours a week will be the maximum allotted hours.

- 2+ years' experience in a project controls position required
- Understanding of program/project budgets and associated funding sources
- Change Management experience in all aspects of the project
- A degree or equivalent in a relatable major
- Experience building relationships and ensuring effective communication with project team and vendors
- Pro-active problem-solving mentality with proven experience in stakeholder management
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi- disciplined team
- The ability to interface with industry specialists, in a competent professional manner
- Broad experience of the application of project controls in major transit/infrastructure projects
- Schedule software experience
- Candidates are able to work remotely but must have the ability to attend client and office meetings based in Orange, CA
