Experience managing daycare groups is preferred, but you do not need any previous experience, just a positive attitude, are hard working, have a good work ethic, good time management, and welcome feedback to grow. We train the right candidates on the main necessary skill of reading dog body language. This position is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about managing dog behavior and obedience of dogs in play groups. The chosen candidate will be working directly with our dog daycare groups for 2-3 hours each shift and our boarding/kenneled dogs before and after daycare and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. We aren't looking for just anyone who wants a job, but those who are passionate about animals and can see themselves growing in responsibility and leadership over the next 1+ years with us. We love to promote from within.

Job Type: Part-time (15-30 hours a week) or Full Time may be available

Hours: Monday-Saturday 6:45am-12:30pm and/or 1:30pm-6:30pm, Sundays 6:45-10:30am and/or 1:30 to 6:30pm

Compensation: $11-$14 hour based on experience ( tips an additional $2+/hr)

About Us: Paw Oasis Pet Resort is a luxury boarding and doggy daycare center which is a new location in The Colony. Our new Castle Hills location is a brand new beautiful location with new dog turf, new luxury boarding accommodations, and a fancy bone shaped pool for the dogs! Hiring team members for one or both locations! If you love animals and are willing to work hard and commit to providing excellent customer service to our guests and their owners, this is the job for you!

Seeking to hire part time team members or full time, flexible availability is preferred 7 days a week. Shifts vary between 4-6 hours and some days you may be asked to work two shifts with a one hour lunch in between. (The first shift runs from 6:45 to 12:30pm and second shift is from 130 - 7pm. (The ideal candidate has the availability to work either shift.) Must be open to working all holidays and weekends as those are our busy times.

Daily tasks include:

-Providing engagement and supervision for dogs in play groups up to 30 dogs for up to 3 hours a shift

-Facilitating daily care for dogs in boarding including exercising and taking out for activities (among other tasks)

-Training to bathe, dry, and brush dogs and nail trims

-Maintaining cleanliness of our play yards and facility

-Minimizing the stress of the dogs in our care by providing effective management and being responsive to their needs

-Maintaining accurate records in Gingr and activity schedule sheets for care provided

-Working as a member of a team in a fast paced environment by using effective communication skills

This position is ideal for someone with a love for dogs and a desire to work in a fun, fast paced environment

The ideal candidate:

-is a high school graduate (or has their GED)

-has excellent written and oral communication skills

-is self-motivated and can work independently

-has a proven ability to follow instructions and learn new things

-takes initiative on the job

- available alternating weekends and 1 shift on all holidays

-is able and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be on ones feet for long periods of time.

-has 2 years previous work experience demonstrating dependability

-(preferably) has worked with dogs or animals in the past

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
