Some of these specialty labs include: histology, HLA, blood bank, microbiology, flow cytometry, mass spectroscopy, cytology, genetics and molecular. Our highly trained lab professionals take pride in the quality and quantity of testing they perform within the guidelines of our fully accredited CAP and CLIA laboratories. The Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Lab Technician:

• Performs high and moderate complexity testing with high degree of skill and proficiency.
• Follows all hospital policies and procedures consistently.

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical science.
• Medical Technology or Medical Lab Technician school graduate preferred.
• Must meet course attendance to meet CLIA guidelines to perform high complexity testing.

Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification:

• Individuals with ML/MLT education must obtain ASCP certification within 1 year from date of hire.

The Specimen Processor Phlebotomist:

• Processes specimens for laboratory testing at a basic level.
• Performs data entry.

Qualifications:

• High School Equivalent / GED
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Formal training from an accredited phlebotomy school, preferred.
