Role:- Lab Sr Technician/Chemist

Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Description:

Analytical / Metabolism Chemist

• Any specific skills, requirements or experience you want in a candidate: Minimum Bachelors in Chemistry/Bio-Chem; Chemical Engineer, Forensics or related field; PhD. Overqualified, Masters is Okay.
• 1 year Experience with LC or GC or MS techniques; Wet Chemistry
• Preferred to have past lab work experience outside of school
• Will be handling radio-labeled materials (14C): training to be provided
• Any additional Medical Surveillance testing required? No
• Will non-local/remote candidates be considered? No

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct sample preparation for analysis with LC/MS, GC/MS or other analytical tools, under the guidance of subject matter experts or study directors.
• Collaborate effectively with other members in the team to optimize and validate existing analytical approaches and instrumentations.
• Be able to document experimental procedures and outcomes with minimal guidance.
• Communicate effectively with team members.

Required Education & Experience

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science, chemical engineering, or related areas.
• Experience with chromatography, LC/MS, or GC/MS techniques of small molecules present in complex biological matrices.
• Experience with sample preparation, derivatization, and cleanup.
• 1+ year of industry experience in analytical chemistry is favored.
• Excellent time management skills, plus ability to plan and execute projects with high productivity.
• Demonstrated flexibility and capabilities of prioritizing projects.

Other Skills & Abilities

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good computer skills.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
