Responsibilities:

• Read and understand landscape plans
• Perform landscape installation functions (e.g construction, hardscape, drainage, horticulture);
• Installs plant material, prune, and apply mulch as needed;
• Demonstrate proper edging procedures of lawns and landscape beds using a power edger;
• Operate a blower correctly and safely around houses, pedestrians, and vehicles;
• Perform handwork as necessary using a shovel, rake, broom, and/or clippers;
• Operate powered equipment (e.g., compressor, auger, saws, drills, grinders, and jack hammer) in a safe manner;
• Work effectively in a group;
• Assist with loading trucks and trailers with tools and materials each day;
• Ensure debris and trash is picked up after the work is done;

Qualifications:

• Understanding of the relationship between job quality and customer service, satisfaction, and retention;
• Demonstrate proper horticultural practices;
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of plant pests;
• Maintain focus on outcomes; is proactive and goal oriented;
• Have experience installing paver patios (preferred)
• Be familiar with irrigation, drainage, and how to make a fast repair.
• Ask for direction, clarification, and insight into the project
• Have a current chauffeur’s license or ability to obtain one;
• Treats others with respect, collaboration, and support in such a way that work relationships are improved and morale is increased.
