Position Summary

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for attending to cleaning processes of Laundry Department for all hotel linen and terry. All duties are to be performed in accordance with the department and property policies, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Operate washing, drying equipment
• Operate iron and towel folder
• Set proper drying and cooling times for linen specifics
• Perform and maintain inventories of linens as required
• Organize and stock linen storage
• Monitor information on all laundry equipment
• Report all issues to supervisor/management
• Perform related duties assigned each day
• Participate in monthly inventories
• Folding, ironing, pressing linen
• Assist with chute duties
• Operate air compressor to blow clean equipment
• Develop and maintain positive working relationship with others
• Support laundry team to reach common goals
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
• Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
• Working knowledge of laundry chemicals and formulas
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize and organize work load
• Ability to work a varied schedule, to include early morning, afternoon, evening, night and weekend shifts

Education:

• High school education or equivalent
