The Lead Corporate Strategist (Corporate Strategist IV) develops business strategy and objectives with the goal of creating actionable corporate strategies that enable Premera’s long-term success. As the Lead Corporate Strategist IV, you will have the opportunity to be a healthcare disruptor as you collaborate and drive complex strategic transformation efforts.
We are seeking a talented strategist that is passionate about collaborating with leaders within the complex healthcare industry. Through this partnership, you will gain insights into healthcare changes and our business by evaluating business needs, analyzing, and developing business requirements, and recommending cost-effective solutions with a focus on large-scale projects. As a lead strategist, you will always be looking for ways to standardize, simplify, and fully define internal processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
This role will at times facilitate forums, develop strategy communications, or create insight documents. In addition, you may lead and mentor other members of the team, growing others in the Enterprise Strategy team.
What you will do:
- Advise Executive Leadership and other leaders in the organization in the development of corporate strategy
- Partner with clients/department management, identify key business issues, and recommend an action plan.
- Act as an internal consultant providing guidance and facilitating forums on complex business solutions, analytical projects, and planning resources.
- Interface with management at all levels of the company within the scope of the assigned project to ensure the quality and timeliness of projects.
- Collect data and provide analyses for a broad array of issues across disciplines and functional areas.
- Drive large-size analytical projects.
- Assist Strategy Leaders with managing large-size enterprise strategy initiatives and programs, including managing project budget and schedule and preparation for Board of Directors meetings
- Develop, standardize, and utilize data gathering tools, including extraction, interpretation, and distribution of data.
- Manage end-to-end the development and implementation of a strategic initiative, including management of internal and external stakeholders and seamless hand-off to implementation and execution teams.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree or four years’ work experience. (Required)
- Seven years of experience in consulting, or analytical business experience OR Master's degree and 5 years of related business experience. (Required)
- MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field. (Preferred)
- At least three years of experience working or consulting in healthcare and/or insurance industries, demonstrating a deep understanding of healthcare and insurance industries, including factors that influence the industry. (Preferred)
- Experience formulating strategies of various scales; must have been a key contributor to strategic initiatives. (Preferred)

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.
National Salary Range:
$110,100.00 - $187,200.00
National Plus Salary Range:
$124,400.00 - $211,500.00
- National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
