HID’s Operations (Warehouse) Department:

The Operations (Warehouse) department is responsible for the day-to-day receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and fulfilling orders from stock, packing, and shipping domestic and international orders with all shipping methods HID currently uses or might use in the future. The Material Handler IV is the main point of contact for receiving and shipping.


As our Material Handler IV, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for shipping inquiries for internal customers.
  • Participating in root cause, corrective and preventive action activities as required.
  • Maintaining inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, and recording location of inventory.
  • Locating materials and supplies by pulling and verifying the correct parts, quantities, and serial numbers that customers request.
  • Moving freight and stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production areas either manually or using equipment such as forklifts.
  • Ensuring the highest levels of accuracy in Oracle and shipping software transactions.

What we will love about your background:

  • Ability to work well under pressure and ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive with shipping software such as FedEx Manager, UPS WorldShip, DHL or any other carrier or Freight Forwarder.
  • Familiarity with Trade compliance policies for international shipments.
  • The ability to work at a fast pace with very high attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required (including weekends) and periodically work a different shift.
  • The ability to learn, use and maintain specialized equipment.

Your Experience and Education include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years of International and complex shipping experience.
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years of Warehouse and Picking operations experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use MS Office, (advanced Excel skills preferred).
  • Prior experience using Root Gear, Cubeware, and/or Oracle
  • Must be able to work sitting down and/or standing up for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, scoop, and reach to perform above duties.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
