Job Overview:

The Shift Lead Controller will be a DOT certified controller. The position will be occupied by a controller and will not be a rotating position.Normal pipeline controller duties are expected to be completed when filling in for shift coverage. In addition, the following will be responsibilities of the Lead, with a priority determined with management related to what is happening in the PBC.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The Vacation Relief (VR) Controller is required to be an experienced controller
• Work 40+ hours Monday – Friday
• The Lead will be inserted into the shift rotation in the event one of the eight shift controllers leaves the PBC and will cover the slot until it is backfilled.
• Weekend day vacations coverage will be first offered up to the controllers on the shift rotation
• VR will be utilized to cover weekend day vacations if no other controllers on shift elect to cover.

Qualifications:

• PBC Controller Training Program
  • Update the PBC Safe and Reliable Training Program when necessary
  • Create and maintain the PBC Efficiency Training Program
  • Create training modules and guides on new equipment and/or pipeline operations
  • Create assessments to review controller competencies for both new hires and experienced controllers (assessments administered by PBC Management).
• PBC Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Management
  • Review and update PBC SOP’s as necessary
    • Review Training/Operating notes to determine information which needs to be either added to a current SOP or a new SOP created
    • Aid in creating new SOP’s (new equipment/production facilities/pipeline operations)
• PBC Emergency Action Plan
  • Create EAP response training scenarios for the PBC
  • Administer impromptu EAP scenarios to the controllers
• Maintain/update the PBC Quality/ISO files
  • Assist with Quality Incident Reporting (QIR) reporting and analysis
• Weekly Alarm monitoring/rationalizing.
• USIG and HyCO real time efficiency monitoring and reporting.
• Keeping compliance documents up to date.
