Job Summary
The Learning & Development Specialist will create and maintain a comprehensive learning & development strategy for a fast-growing health care organization. They will play a key role in talent processes such as annual performance reviews and talent reviews. They will support and enhance our companywide diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. They will actively coordinate and support the employee listening strategy and ensure streamlined, efficient onboarding practices for new hires across our clinical and corporate populations. This role will be critical in identifying process improvement opportunities in how we onboard new employees.

What you will do in this role
  • Propose and implement learning strategies and programs, including organizing and facilitating e-learning courses, workshops, and other training.
  • Act as the Workday Learning administrator by maintaining online courses, tracking participation, and providing reports to key stakeholders as needed.
  • Play a supporting role in the design and execution of clinical leadership conferences and other leadership programs.
  • Partner with key departments (Quality, Compliance, IT, HR) to provide consultative and tactical support for learning needs.
  • Track, monitor, and report on learning & development outcomes related to LMS utilization, training effectiveness, training satisfaction, and other metrics as needed.
  • Create and implement Role-Specific Learning Paths based on role criticality in partnership with the HR Business Partner Team and/or HR leadership.
  • Manage and coordinate the performance evaluation and talent review processes in partnership with the Director, Talent Development.
  • Act as the administrator for our survey platform; provide tactical support for survey needs across the business in alignment with our overall survey strategy.
  • Support the development and coordination of our org-wide DEI strategy, including employee resource groups.
  • Work cross-functionally to build and maintain efficient, streamlined onboarding practices for both clinical and corporate new hires.
  • Maintain an active curiosity about the latest trends in the technology training landscape to keep NorthStar on the leading edge of efficient and effective skill development.
  • Assumes overall project management responsibility for all phases of assigned projects.
What qualifications you will need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the areas of Learning & Development; experience in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion space preferred
  • Demonstrated interest in or previous experience working in the health care industry
  • Experience with Workday HRIS preferred
