Job summary ABOUT THE ROLE: We are looking for a dedicated Vendor Manager to facilitate and maintain partnerships with third-party (3P) vendors. The Program Manager focuses on executing vendor management processes and tools within Content Management and Training organization. Not only does this individual facilitate the flow of onboarding third-party vendors, they also protect Amazon by adhering to due diligence procedures that mitigate legal, tax, security, and financial risks to the company. Each of these programs is comprised of the following: process control; governance; planning and forecasting; master data management; financial management; internal stakeholder management; external stakeholder management; and collaboration with analogous teams across Amazon. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with strong oral and written communication skills, proven multi-tasking ability, quantitative analysis skills, and negotiation experience. They must be able to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organization skills. Key job responsibilities Your objectives will be to help building the best possible selection for our customers with the development of partnerships with new vendors across the globe. Your job will consist of prospecting, assessing, reaching out to and integrating both potential local and international vendors for Amazon. In your day-to-day job, you will be faced with numerous challenges such as: • Manage the Vendor onboarding life cycle: Contracts, MSA, NDA, Purchase Orders, and SOW • Facilitate communication between Product Teams, Finance, Legal, Tax, Information Security, and Vendors. • Identify, prospect and reach out to new vendors, analyze their potential • Support monthly and quarterly vendor business reviews • Be a vendor consultant and advocate for business team by providing vendor insights • Collect and analyze quality metrics (e.g. service level agreements, defects, and more), assist in cost-benefit analysis, document vendor offerings and opportunities • Plan, conduct, deliver and report analyses to understand the performance of new vendors • Align with internal customers and Finance to understand budgetary targets by building and develop methods of measuring and defining savings, value and other category metrics • Create and implement the overall business strategy for vendors' business including managing vendor negotiations About the team Selling Partner Services (SPS) is responsible for creating a trustworthy shopping experience across Amazon stores worldwide by protecting customers, brands, selling partners and Amazon from fraud, counterfeit, and abuse as well as empowering, providing world‐class support, and building loyalty with Amazon’s millions of selling partners. • 3-5+ years of business development, vendor management, or similar experience • Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations. • Ability to lead small and medium size projects and ability to deliver independently, with limited guidance. • Prior experience with presentation, organization, and account/vendor management is preferred. • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment • Highly polished communication skills - speaking, writing, presenting and negotiating • High threshold for working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment – figuring it out and adapting as you go. The base pay range for this position is $74,200 - 129,800 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
