Position Summary

The Learning Technologist supports the LMS Administrator and Instructional Designers in all aspects of the Learning Management System (LMS) and reporting of organization data collaborating with our primary stakeholders, instructional designers, and subject matter experts. This function helps formulate management policies regarding worker conditions with regular access and analysis of confidential information that help formulate labor policies. The incumbent may attend management meetings and be involved directly or indirectly in the decision making process around management positions during negotiations process. Position requires exercise of independent judgment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provides direct support and training to frontline staff, leaders, and instructors to improve LMS utilization. Troubleshoots problems and questions upholding the Jackson learning experience. Works with subject matter experts/vendors to provide course design and video capture support, editing, and deployment of content that contribute to the instructional development learning roadmap. Demonstrates expertise in methodologies to measure and evaluate effectiveness of learning programs and implemented solutions. Supports the creation and delivery of the learning analytics/metrics strategy to ensure learner completion, learning retention, content evaluation. Ensures that our learning infrastructure meets established needs, supports operational efficiency, and can scale with the future growth of Jackson. Demonstrates expertise of technical system functionality, have familiarity with learning development platforms and adult learning theory, and importantly, they foster the learner user experience. Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise). Demonstrates accountability for actions and decisions. Performs all other related job duties as assigned.




Qualifications


Education

Bachelor's degree in related field is strongly preferred.

Experience

Generally requires 1 to 3 years of related experience.

License/Certification

Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.

Knowledge/Skill/Abilities

Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment. Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.

Physical Demands

Job function is sedentary in nature and requires sitting for extended periods of time. Function may require frequent standing or walking. Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Jobs in this group are required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: extended use of computers, preparing and analyzing data and analytics, and other components of a typical office environment. Work Environment

Jobs in this group are required to function in a fast paced environment with occasional high pressure or emergent and stressful situations. Frequent interaction with a diverse population including team members, providers, patients, insurance companies and other members of the public. Function is subject to inside environmental conditions, with occasional outdoor exposures. Possible exposure to various environments such as: communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a hospital and medical office environment. May wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves or a mask when exposed to hospital environment outside of office.
