Legal Administrative Assistant
Manier & Herod is recruiting for Legal Assistants. As the backbone of any successful firm, we are searching for strong LA’s to join us and help us grow.
This position's ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven workplace.
Permanent full-time role, with competitive compensation and benefits. Hybrid/Remote work options available as well as flexible hours.
Responsibilities
· Establish and maintain appropriate files and records.
· Efficiently and effectively process and index documents.
· Enter time into the time and billing system.
· Periodically request pre-bills and statements for billing purposes and prepares statements for signatures and send out.
· Timely management of casework, including proper documentation and case resolution.
· Draft correspondence and pleadings.
· Perform docket searches and pull pleadings from Westlaw dockets.
· E-file documents in federal and state courts and maintain logins and access to e-filing websites and analyze local rules in courts for accurate filing procedures.
· Building, updating, maintaining Excel spreadsheets and Word documents, and utilizing Outlook for communications.
· Prepare and send faxes, documents, mail, FedEx packages and other documents.
· Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc.)
· Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
· Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
· Perform administrative duties (accessing and uploading shared files to internal server, prepare and mail letters by various methods, manage logistics, etc.)
· Plan meetings, conferences and travel.
· Utilize good time management, note-taking, email organization and distribution skills.
· Performing other legal and operational tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- A team player with a genuine interest in the success of the firm.
- Lifelong learning mentality that is always seeking new skills and improving upon existing ones.
- 2+ years litigation, transactional, or experience in a law firm, corporate, or government environment.
- An Associate's degree required, a Bachelor's degree a plus.
- Strength and fluency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Document Management systems.
- Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills along with attention to detail.

Pay: $57,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
