Summary

The Skilled Operator, Special Services will perform multiple job tasks to effectively and efficiently run the line S1 in Special Services. The position requires strict adherence to Company safety policies, quality standards, GMP guidelines, dedication to continuous improvement, and a commitment to achieving Special Services production objectives. Employees are required to train on any shift. As a Skilled Operator, you must demonstrate depth of skill on machine centers during operation, change-over and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Certification and re-certification of attained Machine Operator skills, duties, accountabilities, including safety, QA and HACCP will be necessary.

COMPENSATION

$30.61 an hour including a comprehensive benefit’s package which includes Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).

What You Will Do

• Operates all equipment centers to include Cartoner, Palletizer and additional equipment as needed. This includes, but is not limited to manual palletizing of finished goods (e.g. ‘hand stacking’), case handling, bottle inspection, dumping wine, servicing lines (e.g. ‘forklift operator’), Can Auto Load, Tray Loader, Shrink Tunnel, Case Code Application, Markem Print/Apply Application, Stretch Wrapper and LPN Applicator.
• Responsible for reporting unsafe conditions or acts, even if no injury has occurred.
• Responsible for avoiding costly downtime and unnecessary maintenance by remaining alert at all times.
• Using a forklift, moves pallets of finished product to various work stations such as railroad cars, vans/flats, or to the proper warehouse locations.
• Responsible for understanding performance metrics and participating in improving performance of the operation.
• Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.

What You Will Need

• Minimum Work Keys test scores:
  • Applied Mathematics – 4
  • Locating Information or Graphic Literacy – 4
  • Reading for Information or Workplace Documents– 4
• Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude/dexterity.
• High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
• Required to be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrates Safety Awareness (BBS participation).
• Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrates machine operation skills and abilities.
• Required to understand and follow Standard Work
• Required to deliver training as the SME, using Standard Work
• Required to pass in-house clamp lift and forklift skills tests if not in possession of an OSHA lift certification or at least one year of lift experience.
• Required to operate and maintain Forklift Certification (IVES training curriculum)
• Required to feed the line at a minimum average of 4 cases per minute
• Demonstrates skills required for creating documentation and training other line operators.
• Basic computer skills.
