Licensed Journeyman Electrician

Reports To: Manager

Shift/Hours: 6:30am – 6:30p.m

Position overview:

We are currently seeking a certified electrician with Solar experience (not required). The qualified candidate’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to perform project installations including: working off of plans and schematics, layout of solar modules / array, mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment, assembly of mounting hardware, AC and DC Electrical wiring of systems, attic work in homes and businesses to verify structural attachment, system commissioning/start-up, site clean-up, job documentation – photos, and attend mandatory training sessions on new products, methodology and safety. To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate will meet the minimum qualifications listed below:

Technical Responsibilities of the job:

• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, organization and a can-do attitude
• Experience in mechanical installations, general construction and ladder work
• Basic understanding/experience with electrical wiring of AC and DC systems
• Experience with all types of hand-held and power tools
• Experience with small machinery (trenchers, bobcats, forklifts) PREFERRED
• Experience working with all types of building materials - various roof types, stucco, wood, concrete, Uni-strut, roofing etc
• Team player who listens, learns, and actively communicates
• Visual thinker good at problem solving and implementing ideas
• Should know all aspects of installing solar PV systems
• Electrical Journeyman License / or Electrical Trainee card
• Experience Solar preferred but not required
• Read and understand electrical drawing and specifications
• Complete all work to NEC(National Electrical Code) and OSHA standards
• Must provide own tools

• Mechanical knowledge, technical procedures, government regulations and codes

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to read blueprints and charts and designs
• Prior construction experience is a A +
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs. and work at a fast pace

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

• On call

• Electrical License (Preferred)
