Position Summary

Registered Nurse Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide clinical care and supervise department partnerships to achieve positive patient outcomes. The Staff Nurse demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life-span, and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, and interpret the appropriate information required to identify needs of the patient relative to his/her age and condition.

Licensed Practical Nurse Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists in providing direct quality patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the assessment of patients. Assists in developing, implementing and evaluating/revising the plan of care. Attends educational programs and staff orientation which promote and professional development. Develops leadership role within the LPN scope of practice. Participates in Service Excellence Program.

Minimum Requirements

RN Requirements:

  • RN License, Nursing Diploma or higher is required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support is required.

LPN Requirements:

  • Current NC LPN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact State Health Care Provider is required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support is required.

Other Information

  • This position is accepting applications from Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN).
  • This is a PRN (on an as needed basis) position primarily for weekend coverage in Immediate Care.
  • Weekend clinic hours: Saturday 8:00AM - 4:00PM, Sunday 12:00PM - 4:00PM
