Bladium Sports & Fitness Clubs
Bladium Sports & Fitness Club is a 175,000-sq feet indoor/outdoor sports and fitness club located on the water in Alameda CA. The club has been in existence for over sixteen years and includes a complete fitness center, group exercise programs, personal training, three indoor soccer fields, two outdoor soccer fields, a rock climbing gym, basketball and volleyball courts, boxing and mixed martial arts gym, sports bar and cafe and kids activity center and programs.
LIL' KICKER COACH
Pay: $15 - $17 hourly (DOE)
Role and Responsibilities
The Lil' Kickers Coach is responsible for monitoring the children engaged in the class, being responsive to members and guests by offering assistance, executing the Lil' Kickers curriculum, and creating a fun, safe environment for the children.
Essential Functions
- Teach all age groups of the Lil' Kickers program.
- Manage each class roster to include up to date participant information, class capacity, parent contact information, and registration expiration dates.
- Be knowledgeable on participant names and skill level.
- Participate in telemarketing activities to drive new and repeat registrations.
- Process over-the-phone and in-person program registrations.
- Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance
- Work as a TEAM with all other departments
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
Other Functions
- Participate in community grassroots marketing initiatives.
- Assist in the training of new Lil' Kickers Coaches through job shadowing techniques.
- Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered by Active Wellness
- Promote club services and activities
- Perform routine maintenance of soccer equipment
- Assist with keeping the club well stocked and clean
- Attend Active Wellness site meetings and training
- Handle injury and illness and security incident reporting
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 4-year college degree in a fitness-related field or certificate from an accredited 2-year program at a university preferred (preferred but not required).
- Previous soccer and/or coaching experience is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and highly responsive with a commitment to customer service
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills, customer service skills, results-oriented, ability to multitask, and commitment to the fitness industry
- AED/CPR/First Aid Certified
- National Personal Training Certification(s) required (see approved Certification, Licenses, and Permits list) as well as modality-specific certifications as required by role (if applicable)
- Proof of citizenship or legal status
Physical and Working Conditions
- Ability to take the responsibility for the health and safety of others
- Ability to stand for several hours in the same shift; ability to lift 25 lbs

- Must follow OSHA and Active Wellness safety standards
