How will you play an important role?
Unifi truck drivers report directly to the Fleet Operations Manager. Drivers are responsible for operating their assigned equipment in a legal, safe, courteous, and professional manner while transporting products on such vehicles.
What is essential for success?
- Drivers are responsible for determining that vehicles are in a safe operating condition before beginning each trip with a pre-trip inspection.
- Drivers are responsible for operating vehicles within posted speeds and laws governing our highways as conditions allow
- Drivers shall conduct themselves in a courteous manner and if problems arise at loading/unloading sites, they are to refer those problems to their Dispatchers to resolve.
- Drivers are to report any excessive delays in deliveries or pickups to their dispatcher to avoid unnecessary complications.
- Drivers are to complete all trip reports, bills, and logs and turn them in at the end of each working day unless they do not make it back into their home terminal. In that event, completed paperwork will be turned in as soon as possible.
- Drivers will operate their vehicles and complete paperwork within prescribed D.O.T. regulations.
- Drivers will report any defect in equipment to proper maintenance personnel at the end of each trip by completing and signing "Vehicle Condition Report".
- Any other duties deemed necessary by management
Are you qualified for the position?
- Pass - The Federal Highway Safety Administration, U.S DOT physical examination and pre-employment drug test.
- Pass - Company driver’s road test
- 2 Years: CDL-Driving
- No suspended or revoked drivers license within the past five (5) years
- Moving violations - None within the past twelve (12) months
- No felony convictions or any pending felony charges
- Agree to check past driving record
- No D.W.I. convictions within the past five (5) years
- Have valid (CDL) Commercial Drivers License - Class A – with tanker endorsement.
- Preferred - Driving experience
- Possess good communication / relationship skills with drivers, Vendors, customers and suppliers.
- Basic Computer Skills
