Position Summary:

The Loader/Yard Person's prime responsibility is to support construction activities by performing the following Key Activities.

Responsibilities:

• Operate Front-end loaders of various types and sizes safely and efficiently.
• Operate 10-wheeler/triaxle to pick & deliver into bins (on property).
• Load batch plants efficiently and uniformly.
• Load/Unload other construction materials with IT or similarly equipped loaders.
• Perform Daily Inspection of equipment and note any deficiencies.
• Keep vendor delivery tickets, turn in daily
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of loader experience.
• Work cooperatively with other employees.
• Have a positive attitude.
• Be punctual and ready to work when your shift starts.
• Work safely.

Physical Demands:

• Learn job related material primarily through oral instruction and observation. This learning takes place mainly in an on-the job training setting.
• Must have vision equal to or better than is required for driving.
• Must be able to hear adequately enough to be alerted by horns, sirens, shouting or any other noise that is meant to convey a safety warning.
• Must be able to Lift arms above shoulder level.
• Must be able to work in confined or enclosed spaces.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
• Must be able to walk moderate distances to reach work area.
• Must be able to enter the cab of a vehicle that is 3.5 feet (or more} off the ground.
• Must be able to sit in the operator's seat of equipment and safely reach all pedals, switches, levers, buttons, etc. required to safely operate the equipment.
