For this Position: Must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and be able to pass pre-employment screening, must be at least 18 years old, have valid Driver's License with clean driving record. Internship can be part-time or full-time, flexible on scheduling if still in school. A minimum of 20 hours per week is desired. Must have flexibility to work various hours, work locations, and positions as business warrants. Internship available for credit if needed.

Social Media and Local Marketing Intern:

Description: Social Media and Local Marketing Intern will assist the operational staff with social media outreach (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) through content creation and marketing outreach in the local communities that surround the Park. The intern will also assist with operational duties as needed.

Intern tasks can also consist of:

• Assisting with Social Media content creation for the Park through Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
• Including photography of staff, animals, events, etc. as assigned by the Director or Main office Staff.
• Caption creation
• Post Scheduling
• Delivery of African Safari coupons and brochures to partner local hotels and businesses list.
  • This entails driving a company vehicle alone around northern Ohio, introducing yourself on behalf of African Safari, explaining special promotions and the partnership program.

• Keeping accurate documentation and inventory of coupons and brochure stands is a must.
• Data entry of coupons into the Point-of-Sale system is required at the end of each Local Marketing shift.
• Answering FAQS about Zoo for customers through the phone, online or in person
• Guest Services- issuing, redeeming tickets and/or making reservations through ticketing platform online.
• Assisting with in park promotional items, flyers etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
