Pod Spa (podspas.com) is a new, comprehensive luxury wellness center and fitness studio located in Long Beach, Long Island, New York. We are seeking experienced licensed Lymphatic Massage Therapist who are looking for a long-term role. Ideal candidates will also be licensed in other professions such as esthetician, massage therapist, registered nurse, or aesthetic laser technician.

Employment Requirements:

• New York State licensure to practice as a Lymphatic Massage Therapist.
• Experience in post-surgical lymphatic massage/ drainage and cavitation required.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Mandatory front desk rotation and spa maintenance responsibilities between appointments.
• Consistent punctual arrival and must stay until the entire team has completed closing responsibilities for the day.
• Reliable and able to cordially collaborate with all other staff members including other medical estheticians, reception support, fitness instructors, nurses, NP's, PA's, physicians, and supervising managers.
• Actively contribute to the success of the business and shared governance of the organization.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
• At least two professional references from last previous employers or instructors for new graduates.
• Tuesdays, Friday, Saturday and rotating Sunday Work Schedule.

Job Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To:

• Must have a social media presence and be willing to create original content for both individual professional account and cooperate account promoting self and spa services.
• Compliance and respect towards management requests.
• Excellent hygiene and maintain a tobacco-free lifestyle.
• Must be professional, personable, timely, clean, respectful, computer savvy, able to consult patients and upsell packages.
• Adhering to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring time schedules.
• Welcoming clients in a warm, friendly manner, accompanying them to and from treatment rooms, and thanking them sincerely on departure.
• Interviewing clients to obtain information about contraindications, and examining skin to evaluate the suitability of treatments.
• Engaging and conversing with clients during sessions on topics relating to their interests.
• Maintaining product knowledge to promote and sell spa and salon services, and retail products.
• Adhering to esthetics policies pertaining to chemical usage, documentation, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance of equipment.
• Caring for linens and replacing them between sessions.
• Ceasing treatment and informing supervisor in the event of inappropriate guest behavior.
• Additional desirable skills, but not required: Second language fluency (Russian, Spanish, Mandarin/Cantonese), waxing, makeup application, lash extensions, massage therapist certified, and any other certification in the beauty industry as well as the healing arts.
• Pod Spa Compensation and Benefits:
• Competitive Compensation - $25 hourly wage plus commissions on retail products and service packages, gratuity.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
