Position Summary:
Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs the facility wastewater system. Performs general facilities maintenance and housekeeping assignments. Processes metal chips using the facilities recycling system. Uses company vehicle to pickup and deliver items. Under close supervision, performs routine repair, modification and preventive maintenance tasks on facilities, equipment, fixtures and systems.
Essential Functions:
1. Work safely and without injury.
2. Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs the facility wastewater system. Performs general facilities maintenance and housekeeping assignments. Processes metal chips using the facilities recycling system. Uses company vehicle to pickup and deliver items. Under close supervision, performs routine repair, modification and preventive maintenance tasks on facilities, equipment, fixtures and systems.
3. Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains standard facility systems.
4. Performs routine preventative maintenance operations such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc. Assists in more complex tasks.
5. Uses standard hand and power tools.
6. Assists in the movement of equipment and furniture as needed.
7. Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains standard facility systems including the waste water and chip processing operations.
8. Processes metal chips produced from machining operations.
9. Uses company vehicle to pick up and deliver items
10. May install minor modifications.
11. May do limited carpentry and painting.
12. May have assigned duties in carrying out hazardous materials program.
13. Coordinates the use and disposal of cutting oils, lubricants and waste oil.
14. Facilitates movement and storage of barrels.
15. Fills propane tanks daily.
16. Unloads bulk orders of steel.
17. Responsible for keeping work areas and chip forklift clean.
18. Performs all tasks in such a way as to ensure personal safety and the safety of the people working nearby.
19. Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
20. May participate in Warn Automotive’s Selection Process.
21. Participates in team meetings as required (safety, problem-solving, etc.)
22. Implements the Quality Policy and Procedures in all aspects of daily duties and responsibilities.
23. May be required to work overtime.
24. Performs other various duties as may be assigned.
Required Education and/or Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Up to three years of general facility maintenance experience.
Required Qualifications:
1. Must have a current driver’s license and a good driving record.
2. Must possess basic reading, writing, and computation skills.
3. Ability to continuously improve and learn new skills.
4. Must possess good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
7. Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers and visitors.
8. Ability to effectively problem-solve.
9. Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
10. Ability to facilitate activities necessary to a project’s completion.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence in the English language. Mathematical Skills:
Must have basic computation skills equivalent to education requirement. Higher skills may be required depending on actual job duties.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is continuously standing, repetitively grasping and repetitively using fine manipulation with the hands. The team member may be frequently required to walk, bend, squat, or twist as well as repetitively push or pull. Individual must be able to work at heights. Will be required to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Environment/Atmospheric Conditions:
This position is performed in a shop environment. Team members in this position will be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals and vapors. The team member will frequently be required to work outside and at heights. The team member may occasionally be required to work in an office environment.
