Industrial Machinery Maintenance Supervisor or Specialist (day shift)

An international food company is seeking a qualified Industrial Machinery Maintenance Supervisor or Specialist who has mechanic experience in the factory environment for at least 5+ years. Electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical schematics reading experience is a must.

Location: Somerset, New Jersey

Direct Hire/ Non-Exempt

Title: Maintenance Supervisor or Specialist (depending on experience)

Shift Schedule: 5 days out of Monday to Sunday (one weekend and 4 weekdays)

ROTATING SHIFT HOURS: (rotating about 1months after probation)

1st: 6:00 am - 3:00 pm

2nd: 2:00pm - 11:00 am

During 3 months’ probation period, the hour will be 8:00am-5:00pm

Salary: $26 -28/hr

Job Description

• Follow safety rules and pay attention to safety maintenance work
• Ensure operation of machinery by completing preventive maintenance requirements
• Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review and participate in the work of technical assigned staff
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnosing, inspecting for production machinery
• Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery
• Improve equipment condition and efficiency
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations
• Work effectively with other team staffs
• Procurement and inventory controls of all maintenance parts
• Develop and maintain sources for outside services and parts supplies

Job Requirements

• High school diploma with 5+ years experiences as mechanic in manufacturing setting.
• 2+ years experiences in inventory control and working with outside vendors
• Maintenance Machinery experience is a must
• Electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical schematics reading
• Replacements for motor, belt, bearing, pully, sprockets, chain, cylinder etc.
• Microsoft application (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams)
• Problem solving, Multi – tasking
• Excellent communication skills, logical thinking skill, and strong attention to detail
• Able to lift 40 lbs

Working Environment

• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Generally the job requires walking / standing
• Occasional exposure to hot/humid or cold temperatures
• Exposure to distracting/uncomfortable noise levels in the factory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
