Job Description

Lilac is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of mechanical, instrument, and electrical technicians supporting the construction, commissioning, and operation of chemical process equipment for production of ceramic ion exchange beads.

This is a full-time position based in Fernley, NV. Lilac's Fernley operation is a new and growing facility, and this role includes an opportunity for career growth and advancement. The candidate will be required to operate, maintain and repair machinery. Individuals must be able to frequently move up to 20 pounds for up to 50 feet, work at heights on occasion, and detect physical hazards and the presence of gas leaks and similar safety risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, tactical leadership to a team of maintenance technicians in the commissioning, initial startup, and transition to full operation of a new ion exchange bead manufacturing unit
• Oversee maintenance activities including testing, inspection, predictive, preventative, and precision maintenance
• Continuously provide maintenance technicians with high quality coaching, feedback, and recognition.
• Coordinate with production and planning resources to plan, schedule, and execute maintenance work.
• Lead the maintenance safety program by performing behavioral safety observations, coaching on safe work practices, and conducting safety meetings.
• Measure, monitor, track, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to set and achieve improvement objectives.

Candidate Requirements

• A.A.S. in an applicable technical field or similar certification. Significant equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• 8+ years of maintenance or reliability experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Engaging leadership skills and a drive to build an outstanding team and to treat others with integrity, respect, and fairness
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excited to work on a small, fast-paced startup team

Compensation

• Salary range: $80K-$115K (commensurate with experience)
