Shift: 2

02:30 PM - 11:30 PM + OT

Pay rate: $26.35 + $0.25 shift premium

Monitor assigned line and troubleshoot production equipment, conveyors, lifts, switches, photo sensors, motors, etc., as needed Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and repairs utilizing test meters; and by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.

Replace, repair, adjust and modify electrical, mechanical or hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment as needed and/or machine needed parts.

Test parts, assemblies, equipment and systems for proper operation, make all necessary adjustments and record all modifications. Determine wear and accelerated damage of parts by inspecting equipment; utilizing rulers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments

Assist all trades with repairs, replacements, adjustments, modifications to equipment and machinery, wiring, piping, etc., as directed

Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment, such as lathe, mill, drill-press, band saw, welding stainless and ferrous steel. Welding with MIG and TIG equipment.

Troubleshoot PLC and control related equipment breakdowns and repairs by following flow diagrams (electrical, single line, etc).

Obtain work schedule from supervisor, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations

Assist operators with line changeovers and “call out” to other plant areas, as needed

Lubricate motors pumps and bearings, change oil pumps, gear boxes and compressors

Report to assigned area, set-up production machinery and equipment according to the production schedule

Order parts and supplies for repairs and maintain parts inventory, as needed

Assist specialists with the repair, maintenance, rebuilding and installation of equipment in facility

At end of shift secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete and maintain work records on computerized Maintenance system

Must have a High School diploma or proof of GED; technical school graduate preferred

Must have at least three years experience in the maintenance field, preferably in the food processing industry

Must be able to read blue prints, drawings and plans as it relates to utilities, such as electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and boiler systems.

Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools needed to perform the job

Must have a working knowledge of PLC, variety of VFDs and other electronic systems used in the manufacturing industry

Must be able to proficiently operate Mill machines; and the ability to fabricate and weld stainless steel material

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English, as it relates to the job and safety regulations

Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position

Must be able to perform all job functions safely

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Must be able to crouch and bend while performing maintenance related tasks

Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the work shift

Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
